This might be a scary subject, cuz’ no-one wants to be talking about fear! I personally feel the need to let people know that fear isn’t something to be ashamed about. Everyone gets afraid from time to time, and it is completely normal! To be honest, fear can be a good thing, like the fear that stops you from jumping off a cliff. But in most cases, fear makes a person feel unsafe and insecure. And if it is a fear of something that can physically or mentally hurt you, it can make you paranoid, or even lead to more long-term mental cases like, depression or anxiety.
But some of the mistakes people make when they are afraid is to keep quiet about their situation. Sometimes you can feel the fear hitting you hard yet, you don’t tell anyone.
You can feel yourself inwardly suffering and yet you say ” I am fine” anytime your mum asks if you are okay.
It is okay to be afraid! It doesn’t make you soft or chicken or a loser.
As I said, fear can be a good thing. And you will never know what good things might happen if you finally tell your mum what’s bugging you.
You will never experience the feeling of a VERY heavy weight lifted off your shoulders.
So instead of crying to yourself, Try to tell that person who is always asking if you are okay.
” No! i am not okay!”
And if that person laughs at you, or makes fun of you. So what! At least you know that person is afraid of something too!
